Hyderabad, Dec 11 (TMS): M.T. Krishna Babu, Commissioner, GHMC has informed Town Planning officials to create awareness about taking building permission before constructing the building. The Commissioner held a review meeting along with A.C. (Planning) and A.C. (IT) with Town Planning staff in Panwar Hall today. He has instructed A.C.(Planning) to aim at the Circle wise top 5 identified unauthorized buildings for taking up demolition, which in turn could create awareness about applying for building permission.
The Commissioner has directed the Town Planning officials to see that acknowledgement is maintained after intimating about balance payment to be made for building permission in the form of SMS / Courier / E-mail. He has also informed that courier service will be centralized at Head Office in a week’s time, in the lines of passport service, in order to avoid difficulties in payment to the courier person and the disbursement of letters / demand notices can be done at Circle / Zonal level.
The Commissioner has also informed that Town Planning staff should give the applicants one month’s time for returning the application for building permission, if they are not complying by the demand notices issued by the GHMC or to the intimation for want of enclosures. In order to ease the verification process, the Commissioner has instructed to give same number to the building permission application and to the occupancy certificate application. He has also informed that issue of Property Tax Index Number (PTIN) to the buildings after release of occupancy certificate is the responsibility of the concerned Deputy Commissioner.
The Commissioner has instructed to computerized each application belonging to Lay Out Regularization Scheme (LRS) through Citizen Service Centre (CSC). The Commissioner has directed to hold “LRS clearance drive”, in order to clear the LRS forms, which don’t have postal address, by duly publicizing the date in the media.
The Commissioner has directed cross verify the applications under Building Penalization Scheme (BPS) with the ground position and to straight away reject the application if there is any discrepancy. He has directed to take up demolition drive on the constructions which are applied for BPS but not responded to red notices issued by the GHMC. He has also instructed A.C. (Planning) to take up demolition drive Circle wise by selecting 3 commercial and 3 residential buildings which are applied for BPS but not responded to red notices.
The Commissioner has directed the Town Planning Officials to issue notices to the function halls to apply for regularization of their construction and he has also informed that a meeting will be held with the minister for Municipal Administration in order to give “Single Window Clearance” to the applications of function halls. The Commissioner has warned that demolitions will be initiated, if they fail to come forward within one month’s time and also advised to hold Circle level meetings with function hall managements.
